About This Course

Could You Become One of the so-called Strong Players?

What does it mean to be a strong player?

Let’s start by knowing what a strong player is or, in other words, what a strong player is capable to do.

A strong player is someone who really understands the game of chess. They are players who make no random moves. Their moves always conform to a thoughtful analysis of the position. Their chosen move has been strategically and tactically calculated. Their results are consistent with the strength of play.

Quite the contrary, an amateur player (even if they’ve already studied the game of chess) doesn’t have a trained system of thinking. The game among amateurs is erratic. They jump from one move to another without clear strategical purposes. Their moves are chosen almost randomly. Most of their games are resolved by silly mistakes.

This quick overview could give us a clear picture of who deserves to be called a strong player.

I am an International Grandmaster from Ukraine, currently rated 2507 ELO FIDE. I am also a Chess Coach and hold a Master’s degree in Psychology.

I have developed numerous chess lessons, articles, webinars and training courses, including the famous courses that have helped many players of all levels improve their chess skills and break their barriers to climb up to higher new levels.

All my life as a chess trainer, I have been carefully watching how amateurs play chess and their way of thinking. I have analyzed their faults and the causes of these faults. I’ve identified what their limitations are. I’ve listened to their complains. I’ve searched in depth for an answer to the question: “Why can’t I make progress?”
